半田晴子個展「synthesis」

space dike（スペース・ダイク）では、2016年3月24日(木)から4月3日(日)まで、半田晴子個展「synthesis」を開催します。

「合」―わせること。

それは、画像を同語反復のように繰り返し「合」わせていくこと。

■プロフィール
半田晴子 Haruko Handa
1971年生まれ
女子美術大学芸術学部絵画科洋画専攻卒業

2003年〜2008年　豊島重之キュレーションによる「ICANOF Media Art Shows」に参加する。

アスビョン・ホレルド＋トウルグリム・ワル・スンド展「KARA-COM／カラ・コム」 Asbjørn Hollerud & Torgrim Wahl Sund Exhibition "KARA-COM"

space dike（スペース・ダイク）では、2016年3月12日(土)、13日(日)の二日間、アスビョン・ホレルド＋トウルグリム・ワル・スンド展「KARA-COM／カラ・コム」を開催します。

カラ・コムというタイトルは日本語のカラ(空)とコマーシャル（商業）からなる造語。コムはまたコンピューターやインターネットとの関係も頭に浮かびます。広告とは、商品あるいは金融取引で利益を上げる意図を持ったサービスの宣伝と定義されます。つまり消費者に対するマスメディアを使った、有料のメッセージです。「カラ・コム」展は、実際のモノからこの宣伝の意図を引きはがすことによって明らかになる様々な空虚さについて考えます。製品や意図が一旦、広告から引きはがされた時、そこには意味の欠如、無為などの明らかな空虚さが残されるでしょう。

The title, KARA-COM, is a constructed term based on the Japanese word “kara” (empty), and “com” from commercials. Com can also refer to computers and the internet.
Advertisment is defined as promotion of a product or a service with the intention of a financial transaction and profit. That promotion is a paid message using mass media to influence a buying public.
The exhibition, KARA-COM, is concerned with various types of emptiness that are revealed by the processes of tearing-down the intension of (collected) advertisments. Once the product, or intension, is removed from the advertisement, this emptiness reveals a lack of meaning, a vacuousness, in what remains.(end of project description)

■バイオグラフィー
アスビョン・ホレルド／Asbjørn Hollerud
ノルウェーのベルゲン市在住。偶発の美学に依って触発される魅惑的な色彩を用いて、大量生産とアイデンティティーについての作品を発表している。2008年、ベルゲン芸術工科アカデミーにて芸術修士号を受け、トリケリ〜ベルゲン現代版画センター館長。現在、ノルウェーのモールドに新設された芸術文化の学校でサイトスペシフィックなインスタレーションに取り組んでいる。

トウルグリム・ワル・スンド／Torgrim Wahl Sund
ノルウェーのベルゲン市在住。「我々はどのように世界を知覚しているのか」「我々はどのようにして記憶というものを管理しているのか」といった基本的且つ大きな問題を扱った制作活動を行なっている。また身体と技術と科学の結合関係や単純性と複雑性などのテーマも探求している。

■Biography
Asbjørn Hollerud
Asbjørn Hollerud lives and works in Bergen, Norway. His art often deals with subjects such as mass production and identity by using seductive color combinations which is inspired from gambling aesthetics. Hollerud received his MA in Art from Bergen Academy of Art And Design in 2008, and is the Director of Trykkeriet – Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Bergen. Hollerud has exhibited at places such as Bergen Art Museum, Hordaland Art Center and Bergen Kunsthall. Currently he is working on a site specific installation for the new Art and Culture school in Molde, Norway.

Torgrim Wahl Sund
Torgrim Wahl Sund lives and works in Bergen, Norway. His practice is concerned with key existential questions such as: How do we perceive the world around us? How do we manage our memory? Also, Wahl Sund investigates topics such as the connection between body, technology and science, simplicity vs. complexity.

space dike（スペース・ダイク）では、2016年3月12日(土)、13日(日)の二日間、吉田和貴展「ドライブ」を開催します。

これは展覧会ではないようなきがします。
ただ次のドライブの行き先を決めるような、
よるべのない、つかみどころのない二日間です。
二階で友人のアスピョンとトールがノルウェーから作品を持ってきます。
たのしみです。
